More Fixing/Repair Cafés

Repair Cafés: free community events where people are invited to bring things that are broken to be repaired with the aid of expert repair volunteers in a café environment. The cafés aim to encourage people to think about their relationship with the items they own and to empower people to repair things themselves. Many have been established throughout the country in recent years and amongst the items that are repaired are furniture, electrical appliances, bicycles and clothing. Repair Cafés could be set up throughout Galway to help people save money and prevent waste.
