Interdisciplinary collaboration between artists and engineers would be encouraged. This would be in accordance with Galway’s reputation as a centre for the arts. Collaboration could occur in the design of ecological technologies. An example might be the installation of a small hydroelectric generating plant at the Parkavera lock gate, on the Eglington Canal in the city, to harness the power of the canal. Information notice boards would be erected near such facilities.
